The Model
When a user doesn't complete a challenge, their forfeited stake will go towards the cumulative amount donated by all users of the chosen charity once that amount hits 2000$ it will donated to the user selected charity by Lockin, if the amount is not reached before the end of the quarter. then whatever is accumulated will be sent to the chosen charity
Every forfeited stake contributes to real-world causes.
Charity Categories
Users choose their preferred charity category when creating each challenge. Donations are directed to verified organizations within these areas:
- Aid Humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, and poverty alleviation programs worldwide.
- Environmental Climate action, conservation, wildlife protection, and sustainability initiatives.
- Medical Research Funding breakthroughs in disease prevention, treatment development, and global health research.
- Education Access to learning, scholarships, literacy programs, and educational infrastructure.
- Human Rights Advocacy for equality, justice, civil liberties, and the protection of vulnerable communities.
How Donations Work
- Lockin independently donates forfeited stakes to verified charitable organizations.
- Users choose their preferred charity when creating each challenge.
- Donations are processed through Lockin's corporate philanthropy program on a regular cycle.
Note: Lockin is the legal donor. Forfeitures are processed through Lockin's corporate philanthropy program. Users do not receive tax-deductible receipts for forfeited stakes, as the donation is made by Lockin on behalf of its community.
